– Pelvic Floor Assessment in Calgary SW
Physician-led care for bladder control, pelvic floor weakness – and the sleep you’re losing to it.
Why we built this program. Pelvic floor weakness is one of the most common – and least talked about – health issues we see. It shows up as bathroom trips that break your sleep night after night, leaks when you laugh, cough, or exercise, and changes after childbirth or surgery that people quietly accept as “just life now.” Honestly, it began with sleep: so many patients in our sleep program weren’t being woken by their breathing – they were being woken by their bladder. Treating the pelvic floor turned out to be one of the most effective things we could do for their nights. From there the program grew to support new mothers, patients recovering from pelvic, abdominal, or prostate surgery, and anyone living with a weakened pelvic floor.
Who this is for
Waking at night to use the bathroom · leaks with coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercise · sudden urgency · postpartum changes · recovery after surgery · changes through menopause · reduced intimate wellness related to weak pelvic floor muscles. Both women and men.

Step 1 – Your Assessment with Dr. Sabah
Every pelvic health journey starts with a private, unhurried Bladder & Pelvic Floor Assessment with Dr. Sabah Jarullah, our on-site family physician — symptoms, history, medications, pregnancies or surgeries, and how it’s affecting your life and sleep. An insured physician visit, covered by Alberta Health — just bring your health card.

Your treatment options
There’s no single answer, and no pressure toward any one treatment. Depending on your assessment, Dr. Sabah may recommend: pelvic floor muscle training · bladder and lifestyle strategies · medication where clinically appropriate · EMSELLA® — a non-invasive chair that strengthens the pelvic floor through thousands of muscle contractions per session while you sit fully clothed (link to the EMSELLA page) · or referral to pelvic floor physiotherapy or a specialist where your case calls for it.
The sleep connection
If night-time bathroom trips brought you here, ask about our sleep program too – both live under one roof, so Dr. Sabah can look at the whole picture in one visit. → plus the medical-program supervision note and a “Book Your Bladder & Pelvic Floor Assessment” button to your medical calendar (the 30-minute assessment is already live on that booking page, so the funnel works end-to-end).
