For most anxious patients, our Solea laser removes the very things they fear most: the needle and the drill.

How we treat it: For patients whose anxiety centres on needles and drills – which is most anxious patients — Solea laser dentistry is the answer. Most fillings, soft tissue procedures, and more can be performed without any injection and without a drill. No freezing. No numbness. No anxiety trigger.

For patients who need deeper support, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation. Our clinic is also designed for comfort: Netflix at every chair, noise-cancelling headphones, warm blankets, and a team that establishes a stop signal with every anxious patient before beginning.

How Westside helps with dental anxiety

Every dental concern at Westside starts with an exam with Dr. Zubaida Hussain – digital X-rays or CBCT imaging where needed – and a plan you understand before anything begins. Many routine treatments are needle-free with the Solea laser, crowns can be made the same day with CEREC, and sedation is available for anxious patients.

EXOMIND™ for Stress-Driven Jaw Pain

For those patients, Dr. Sabah Jarullah, our on-site family physician, may recommend a course of EXOMIND™ transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) alongside the dental plan – appliance, Solea, EMFACE® or EMVITAL® – so the driver is treated as well as the joint.

EXOMIND™ for stress-driven bruxism and TMJ pain is an emerging application supported by the underlying mechanism and by ongoing research; it is discussed case by case at your assessment, and Dr. Z and Dr. Sabah coordinate the combined plan.
