Skin resurfacing at Westside uses the EXION™ Clear RF applicator by BTL, which delivers radiofrequency through smart micro-ablation to the superficial layers of the skin – the layer where uneven tone, sun-related discolouration, superficial pigment and small vascular irregularities live. By treating the surface precisely rather than heating the whole dermis, it refines texture and evens tone with a short recovery.

The visit
About 30 minutes. Numbing cream is applied for comfort; the treatment is precise and well tolerated.
Downtime
Expect redness and a rough, sandpaper-like feel for a few days as the treated surface renews. Sun protection is essential during recovery.
The course
Usually 2–3 sessions spaced about four weeks apart, set at your assessment and reviewed as your skin responds.

How is resurfacing different from microneedling?
Resurfacing works on the surface layers to even tone and texture; RF microneedling works deeper in the dermis for scars, lines and laxity. Many plans use both, in sequence.
