A cracked or broken tooth needs prompt attention – the longer it’s left, the greater the risk of infection, pain, or more extensive damage. At Westside, we offer emergency appointments and CEREC same-day crowns for broken teeth, meaning you can often have your tooth restored to full function in a single visit.
How we treat it: Treatment depends on the severity of the crack or break. Minor chips or surface cracks may be repaired with bonding or a veneer. More significant breaks typically require a crown – and at Westside, CEREC technology allows Dr. Z to design, mill, and place a permanent ceramic crown in one appointment. For cracks that have reached the nerve, root canal therapy followed by a crown is the typical pathway.
