Reveal the skin underneath.
Professional AlumierMD chemical peels with our medical aesthetician - a light peel for a fresh, no-downtime glow, or a moderate peel for deeper renewal. Every peel starts with a proper skin assessment, so you get the right one.
Sound like your skin lately?
Healthy skin renews itself constantly - but the pace slows with time, sun and stress, and the tired surface layer starts to hang around. A professional peel simply helps your skin do what it already knows how to do, faster.
Two peels. Your assessment decides.
We keep it simple: one light option, one moderate option. Same goal - fresher, brighter, smoother skin - at two different depths and two different paces.
The Light Peel
Glow and brightness, mild unevenness, congested or dull skin, first-time peels, and keeping good skin looking that way.
A warm tingle for a few minutes. Most people chat straight through it.
Little to none. Possible mild flaking for a day or two. You can go back to your day - many patients come on a lunch break.
A fresh, lit-from-within glow within a few days, building further over a short series.
The Moderate Peel
Texture, sun damage, stubborn uneven tone, fine lines, and marks left behind by old breakouts - when you want more visible change per visit.
A stronger, more active warmth for a few minutes, closely monitored and precisely timed by Noora.
Real renewal means real shedding: expect visible flaking around days 2-5. Plan roughly a week of social buffer before big events.
As the flaking finishes - usually about a week - noticeably fresher skin surfaces, and keeps improving over the following weeks.
How it works at Westside
Skin assessment
A one-on-one visit with Noora, including advanced 3D skin imaging that maps tone, texture, pores and sun damage - so decisions are based on your skin, not a guess.
Your peel plan
Light or moderate, matched to your skin type, history and calendar - with the number of sessions and spacing laid out clearly before you commit.
Treatment day
Cleanse, peel, finish - a comfortable visit from start to end, and you leave with your post-peel care and exactly what to do at home.
The reveal
Fresh skin surfaces on schedule. We check in, track your progress against your baseline imaging, and lock in your next visit so results keep building.
Skin care with medical oversight
Chemical peels at Westside are performed by Noora, our medical aesthetician, under the medical direction of our on-site family physician. Before your first peel we screen your skin type and tone, health history, medications and sun exposure - and choose the peel and depth that’s right for your skin, including deeper skin tones, where peel selection matters most.
And a promise: if your assessment shows a different treatment would serve you better - radiofrequency microneedling for texture, for example, or a facial-toning treatment for lift - we’ll tell you. You’ll leave with the right plan, not just a peel.
Good questions, honest answers
Does a chemical peel hurt?
A light peel feels like a warm tingle for a few minutes. A moderate peel is more active - a stronger warmth that Noora monitors closely and times precisely. Both are quick, and you're talked through every step.
How many peels will I need?
Sometimes one well-timed peel before an event is all you want. Most skin does best with a short series spaced a few weeks apart, then the occasional maintenance peel. Your exact plan is set at your assessment - you'll leave knowing the number, the spacing, and why.
Is it safe for deeper skin tones?
Yes - with the right peel, at the right depth. Skin tone changes which peel solutions we choose and how deep we go, which is exactly why every peel at Westside starts with an in-person assessment rather than an online "add to cart" button.
When can I wear makeup again?
After a light peel, usually the next day - your aftercare card will confirm. After a moderate peel, once the flaking has finished, typically within about a week.
Can I combine a peel with my other treatments?
Often, yes. Peels pair well with our other skin treatments when they're sequenced properly. If you're already on a skin plan with us, we'll slot your peel in where it does the most good.
How do I prepare?
You'll get a short prep list at your assessment - usually pressing pause on certain actives (like retinol) for a few days beforehand and being sun-smart in the lead-up. Afterward, daily SPF is non-negotiable: it protects your result.
