Which level of peel will I get?
That is decided at your skin assessment, not before. The level depends on your skin type, the concern being treated and how much downtime you can accept – so a consultation is needed to determine it.
Does a chemical peel hurt?
Most people feel warmth and tingling for a few minutes while the solution is active. It is monitored throughout and neutralized as soon as the target is reached.
How many peels will I need?
Some people see the result they want from one; a series spaced a few weeks apart builds a bigger change. Your plan sets the number, and it can be adjusted as your skin responds.
Is it safe for deeper skin tones?
Yes, with the right level and preparation – which is exactly why the assessment comes first. Deeper tones are prepared and treated with extra care to protect against pigment changes.
When can I wear makeup again?
Usually the next day for lower-level peels; for deeper levels you are asked to wait until flaking has finished. Sun protection every day afterwards is the one non-negotiable.
