How it is assessed and treated at Westside
Your assessment distinguishes musculoskeletal pain that responds to physical treatment from pain that needs other investigation. Treatment options include EMVITAL® high-intensity laser therapy to reduce inflammation and improve circulation in the joint, joint and soft-tissue injections for eligible conditions, and coordinated care with your physiotherapist or specialist. The physician assessment is insured under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan; laser courses are private-pay and explained before you commit.

Medical concerns at Westside are assessed by Dr. Sabah Jarullah, our on-site family physician – a proper history, an examination and a plan you understand. Treatment ranges from prescriptions and minor procedures to physician-led programs for weight, menopause, pelvic floor health and pain, with EMSELLA® and EMVITAL® available where they fit, and the dental, sleep and wellness teams down the hall when your concerns overlap.

Do I need a referral?
No. Book directly online or by phone; no referral is needed to be seen by our family physician.
Is it covered?
Insured physician visits and medically necessary procedures are covered under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan. Device-based courses and cosmetic procedures are private-pay and always identified before you commit.
Do I have to become a family-practice patient?
No. You can be seen for a specific concern. If you would like a family doctor, the practice is welcoming new patients – ask about a meet-and-greet.
