Skin Tags, Moles, Warts & Skin Lesions in Calgary SW

Skin Tags, Moles, Warts & Skin Lesions

A skin tag that catches on clothing, a mole you want checked, a wart that will not go away, a cyst or small lump – the kind of thing you have been meaning to deal with. Westside's minor procedures are done in the same clinic, by a physician, with careful attention to anything that looks unusual.

Anything suspicious is assessed first; removal or biopsy is arranged where appropriate, and you are referred on if a specialist opinion is needed.

This care is provided on the medical side of Westside under Dr. Sabah Jarullah, family physician. Every patient begins with a medical assessment; insured visits are covered under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan. No referral needed.

Signs you may notice

  • A skin tag that rubs or catches
  • A mole that has changed in size, shape or colour
  • A wart or small skin growth
  • A cyst or benign lump
  • A lesion you would like assessed for peace of mind

How it is assessed and treated at Westside

Dr. Sabah Jarullah, our on-site family physician, examines the lesion, explains what it is likely to be, and removes it or arranges a biopsy where appropriate – in clinic, with local numbing and careful handling. Medically necessary assessment and procedures are insured under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan; purely cosmetic removals are private-pay, and you will know which applies before anything is done.
