Your Skin Rejuvenation Experience
Step 1 – Skin Consultation Your provider assesses your skin type, key concerns, and aesthetic goals. We’ll recommend the right treatment – or a phased combination approach – and give you a realistic picture of what to expect and when.
Step 2 – Treatment For EXION™ Face, the applicator is gently glided across the skin with a comfortable warming sensation throughout. For EXION™ Fractional RF, topical numbing is applied first, then the microneedling handpiece is pressed methodically across the treatment area – most patients find it very well tolerated once numbing takes effect.

Is EXION™ painful?
EXION™ Face involves no needles and no pain – most patients describe a comfortable warming sensation throughout. EXION™ Fractional RF uses microneedles, but topical numbing cream is applied beforehand and the treatment is very well tolerated by most patients.
How many sessions do I need?
Most patients complete 3-4 sessions for both EXION™ Face and EXION™ Fractional RF, spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Your provider will design a personalized plan based on your skin and goals.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice improved texture and hydration within 4 weeks of their first session. The full benefits – particularly for firming and laxity – develop progressively over 3 months as collagen production rebuilds.
How long do results last?
Results typically last 12-18 months. Annual maintenance treatments help sustain your outcome over time.
Is EXION™ safe for my skin type?
Yes. Both EXION™ Face and EXION™ Fractional RF are safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I-VI), including darker skin tones that may not be suitable for some other laser or energy-based treatments.
Can I combine EXION™ with other treatments at Westside?
Yes. EXION™ pairs beautifully with EMFACE® for a complete facial rejuvenation plan. It also complements teeth whitening and injectables as part of a broader aesthetic plan. Ask your provider what makes sense for your goals.
Is there anything I should avoid before or after treatment?
Your provider will give you specific pre- and post-care instructions at your appointment. Generally, patients are advised to avoid heavy sun exposure before EXION™ Fractional RF and to apply SPF diligently after all EXION™ treatments.
